Following the Kentucky General Assembly’s passage of  House Bill 1, Greater Louisville Inc.’s president and CEO, Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, issued the following statement:

 

“Today, the Kentucky legislature took an important step in continuing to make the Commonwealth more competitive by passing House Bill 1 and lowering the state’s personal income tax. As the income tax is reduced incrementally and eventually eliminated, Kentucky will be able to attract more businesses and talent which are critical to the continued growth of our economy. GLI commends the General Assembly for not only swiftly passing this legislation but also for passing tax reform last year while ensuring the state was on track to hit revenue targets to make this decrease possible.”
