GLI prides itself as the voice of the business community and a catalyst for economic growth in our region. As a Chamber of Commerce, there are certain metrics and standards we hold ourselves to; not only to provide strong ROI to our investors but also to comply with best practices for a well-run chamber organization.

I’m thrilled to announce for the second consecutive time in our history, GLI has been recognized with a Five-Star Accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. This is the highest rating a Chamber can achieve, and just three percent of Chambers across the nation receive this recognition.

Our Five-Star Accreditation underscores GLI’s strength, operational efficiencies, and impact on our community. I am extremely proud of our team for their work over the past five years, which requires meeting more than 90% of the rigorous criteria in a range of categories laid out by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The past few weeks have been full of big announcements. In addition to this recognition, I am also proud of the work our team did to help MMY US on their recent location in West Louisville. The London-based modular home manufacturer is bringing more than 70 jobs and $6 million in investment to our region through their first U.S. facility. This is a true regional success story, and we were pleased to work with our partners Louisville Metro Government and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. We have 57 additional projects in our project pipeline and I am looking forward to even more economic success as the year continues.

I’m excited about these big wins for many reasons, but primarily because it validates that GLI is effectively serving you, our investors. We appreciate your ongoing support and will continue to pursue programs, initiatives, and policies to make our region that strongest it can be.
