What is your favorite part about being a GLI Ambassador? I really love meeting so many fantastic people through GLI and volunteering as an Ambassador has given me the opportunity to build more meaningful relationships.

A fun fact about me is… This week I was honored to receive in the mail a certificate of commission as a Kentucky Colonel.

What is the best career advice you’ve received? My first boss (when I was still in high school) gave me this advice: A fool makes the same mistake over and over. A smart person learns from their mistakes. But a truly brilliant person will learn from other people’s mistakes.

What does being a GLI investor mean to you? The world of business can be daunting at times, but being part of a group where we can share resources, connections and ideas has truly magnified my success.

What is your favorite thing to do in Louisville? My favorite thing to do in Louisville is to enjoy Bourbon – the culture, the history, the people (and of course the liquid itself!) Seven years ago I founded a social group called the Bourbon Brotherhood, which now has 1,400 members, and we’ve had so much fun. I’m still learning as I travel along my bourbon journey.

What do you do to make greater Louisville GREATER? Through my Bourbon Brotherhood group, we’ve partnered with the Whisky Chicks to raise over $180,000 for local non-profits including the Coalition for the Homeless.
